Last night TLC aired a special about Wesley Warren, Jr., the man with the 132-lb scrotum. It was both fascinating and sad, a shocking look at a man who suffers from the worst case of scrotal lymphedema the world has ever seen.
The 50-year-old Las Vegas resident first noticed the problem in 2008, after a traumatic injury to his testicles. He was treated with antibiotics, anti-virals, steroids, everything but the kitchen sink. Nothing worked. Finally, Dr. Joel Gelman of the University of California, Irvine's Center for Reconstructive Urology took the case. The hour long special follows Warren through the last few weeks leading up to surgery. We've highlighted some of the more "interesting" parts. Don't worry, they're safe for work.
